My name is Dorothy Calvert. I am a Master Herbalist, holistic health practitioner, and the owner of Dorothy's Herb Shop and Herbal Apothecary located in Butler, Pennsylvania.

I am not your typical herbalist.

I approach herbal medicine through the lens of real anatomy and physiology. That means I work with your body's systems as one interconnected conversation rather than a collection of separate problems to address. Every body is different and genuine support begins with understanding your specific pattern, not applying a generic protocol and hoping something sticks.

My clinical practice is rooted in pattern recognition. I listen to what your body is communicating through its signals and symptoms and then match organic herbal medicine, whole food nutrition, and the foundations of health to what your body is actually asking for. I formulate my own preparations in house and work with bioavailable forms of support, focusing on what the body can actually absorb and use.

I have spent over thirteen years and nearly three thousand clinical hours sitting with people and learning to hear what the body says underneath what the mouth is saying. That pattern recognition is the foundation of everything I do.

My core belief is simple. Education creates awareness and awareness creates lasting change. When you understand what is actually happening inside your body and why, everything shifts. You stop blaming yourself for your symptoms and start working with your body instead of against it.
